University of the People, founded in 2009, will partner with World Computer Exchange in a plan to build communication centers in six developing area over the next six months, enabling students without dependable Internet access to take online courses. The target sites are Bangladesh, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Liberia, Palestine, and Zimbabwe.
