After months of planning by South Africa's Department of Basic Education, the Teacher Laptop Initiative (TLI) is set to roll out this week with a key focus on teacher training and development in ICT, computer literacy, and pedagogy. The TLI, managed by the Education Labour Relations Council, supports a cohesive plan by the department and other education stakeholders to improve the overall quality of public education.
