I am in my second year as the superintendent of the Orange City School District.  My personal belief as a district leader is that we must, as a community of learners, respond to the diverse needs of our students, provide support and resources so that they can learn, and actively engage them in the learning process.   My main focus is to continually expand on the quality initiatives used in the district to ensure that our students have the skills they need to succeed in the 21st Century.

I previously served as Director of Educational Programs in the Orange City School District. In that role, I established a wide variety of initiatives, including the creation of the Teachers’ Academy teacher-led professional development program, instituted a number of innovative programs, and played a leadership role in the district's relationship with the Schlechty Center for Leadership in School Reform.

My 25 years of service as a school board member were recognized when I received the Ohio School Boards Association 2009 Outstanding Board Member Award for Northeast Ohio. I also serve on the Board of Education for the Medina County Career Center and as vice-chair of the International Board of Trustees for the Destination ImagiNation creative problem-solving program.
